Learning a Language through SONGS?

Hello guys,
We all know that the music works pretty well as a "brain worm" -literally digging into your brain by hardcoding itself into your memory.
That information, plus linguistic elements being a main component of songs, we come to realise a great way to learn a language.

Using music!

So this is a song I am also using on my students who learn Turkish.

So here are the original lyrics:
Ne habersin ne türksün
Seni gören yollara dökülsün

Kul oldun köle oldun, kurşun geçirmez cam oldun
Bütün dünya izler durur, afet-i azam bekler durur
Hedefini al, piyasanı al, her şeyi al
Yandı dertler bitti tasa
Ben kurbanım bu cambaza
İki gözüm kadar eminim sen yoksun

Kul oldun köle oldun, kurşun geçirmez cam oldun
Cin oldun adam çarptın, cellat oldun kelle uçurdun

Bütün dünya izler durur, afet-i azam bekler durur Hedefini al, piyasanı al, her şeyi al
Yandı dertler bitti tasa
Ben kurbanım bu cambaza
İki gözüm kadar eminim sen yoksun
Var mısın yoksun x 2
İki gözüm eminim sen yoksun
Var mısın yoksun x 2

Bütün dünya izler durur, afet-i azam bekler durur
Hedefini al, piyasanı al, her şeyi al
Yandı dertler bitti tasa
Ben kurbanım bu cambaza
İki gözüm kadar eminim sen yoksun
Sen yoksun, sen yoksun

And the translation:
You're neither news nor a Turk**
Whoever sees you should hit the roads

you've become a slave, a drudge

you've become a bullet-proof glass

The whole world keeps watching

the big stunner keeps waiting

take your goal, buy your market, buy everything

sorrows are burnt, worries are over

I'm a sacrifice to this glass-player (acrobat)

I'm certain with my two eyes that you're not there

you've become a slave, a drudge

you've become a bullet-proof glass

you've become a jinn and you've hit the people

you've become an executioner and you've blown heads away

The whole world keeps watching

the big stunner keeps waiting

take your goal, buy your market, buy everything

sorrows are burnt, worries are over

I'm a sacrifice to this glass-player (acrobat)

I'm certain with my two eyes that you're not there

are you there, no you're not(do you exist, no you don't)

are you there, no you're not

my two eyes, I'm certain you're not there

Author's comments:

*This song is about television and it's role in politics and those who use it as a tool for their political goals. "Cambaz" means acrobat but "cam" means glass and you can translate cambaz as one who plays with glass which alludes to politician's abuse of television.
** This song is about the role of television in politics and the first line alludes to a news TV channel in Turkey called Habertürk, criticizing it as being neither haber (ne habersin: you're neither news) nor Türk (ne Türksün: nor a Turk).
